Comics & Digital Animation - Killam - Comics & Digital Animation
Learn all about film shot composition, storyboarding, and visual storytelling by making your own comic book and digital animation! Participants will improve their drawing skills through the staging and drafting of an original visual story concept they create on paper. Teachers work with students to help them understand how to use the landscape of each panel and page to create a dynamic story with a delicate balance of artwork and language. Participants will dive into drawing techniques and create original characters and personalities. Next, the comic will be translated into a digital drawing, as kids learn to bring their comic to life using Procreate! Kids will lean frame-by-frame animation and make a short animation.

Kids' Test Kitchen - Killam- Kids' Test Kitchen
Kids’ Test Kitchen invites young chefs to roll up their sleeves and dive into the delicious world of cooking. Students slice, dice, peel, measure and mix their way through fresh, whole, nourishing ingredients, discovering how simple foods can transform into tasty dishes they’re proud of. Along the way, they learn child-safe knife skills and develop confidence working in the kitchen.With every recipe, kids build real-world know-how: science through heat and reactions, math through counting and measuring, reading through step-by-step instructions. Kids' Test Kitchen will introduce new foods with care and intention, building confidence, esteem and comprehension. The choice to eat is always their own. Kids will bring home the recipe card and either the focal food of the week, or a sample of the dish (take home changes for each recipe).There will be no classes Monday October 12th and Tuesday October 13th.

Chess Wizards is a premier chess education company providing fun, informative and challenging chess lessons to students in K - 5th grade. Our program is made for children as every step of their chess journey - no matter the skill level - with classes build upon each other, starting with basics and moving toward more advanced lessons as your child progresses from one session to the next. Chess Wizards teaches children how to problem solve, think critically, win graciously, and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Comics & Digital Animation - Killam - Comics & Digital Animation
Learn all about film shot composition, storyboarding, and visual storytelling by making your own comic book and digital animation! Participants will improve their drawing skills through the staging and drafting of an original visual story concept they create on paper. Teachers work with students to help them understand how to use the landscape of each panel and page to create a dynamic story with a delicate balance of artwork and language. Participants will dive into drawing techniques and create original characters and personalities. Next, the comic will be translated into a digital drawing, as kids learn to bring their comic to life using Procreate! Kids will lean frame-by-frame animation and make a short animation.

Kids' Test Kitchen - Killam- Kids' Test Kitchen
Kids’ Test Kitchen invites young chefs to roll up their sleeves and dive into the delicious world of cooking. Students slice, dice, peel, measure and mix their way through fresh, whole, nourishing ingredients, discovering how simple foods can transform into tasty dishes they’re proud of. Along the way, they learn child-safe knife skills and develop confidence working in the kitchen.With every recipe, kids build real-world know-how: science through heat and reactions, math through counting and measuring, reading through step-by-step instructions. Kids' Test Kitchen will introduce new foods with care and intention, building confidence, esteem and comprehension. The choice to eat is always their own. Kids will bring home the recipe card and either the focal food of the week, or a sample of the dish (take home changes for each recipe).There will be no classes Monday October 12th and Tuesday October 13th.

Chess Wizards is a premier chess education company providing fun, informative and challenging chess lessons to students in K - 5th grade.
