3:00 PM - 4:00 PM	Kids Test Kitchen - Kids Test Kitchen - Killam Kids’ Test Kitchen is on a mission to inspire healthy eaters, and ultimately redefine kid food, by providing young students the opportunity to cook, taste, and then teach their families about nutrient-dense foods.Aspiring chefs meet for a series of classes and work as a team to prepare fun snacks, entrées, and side items whose key ingredients are known to be really healthy for us! Some of the ingredients we highlight include Swiss chard, avocado, bananas, artichokes, spaghetti squash, watermelon, and more. Give us a room full of hungry students and you’ll be amazed by their enthusiasm!At the end of each class, participants receive the main ingredient so that they can cook for family and show off what they learned!

Our program is made for children as every step of their chess journey - no matter the skill level - with classes build upon each other, starting with basics and moving toward more advanced lessons as your child progresses from one session to the next. Chess Wizards teaches children how to problem solve, think critically, win graciously, and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. 12:50 PM - 1:50 PM	Creative Film Making - Killam - Creative Film Lights, Camera, Action! Become a Director, Actor, Cinematographer, and Editor with Reading Community Education and CinemaKidz. Utilizing professional equipment and technology, kids will work together and learn how to use cameras, audio equipment, and editing software, while creating completely original video projects. Kids will get creative as they try their hand at various special effects techniques: building props, combining claymation and live-action video, experimenting with the potential of green screens, practicing various camera tricks, utilizing stock videos, video filters, and much more! Participants will learn how to make movies from start to finish as they plan, write, film, act in, and edit an original project together.
