If you’re looking to begin a fitness routine or want to enhance your current workouts, the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a great place to start. The FMS uses seven simple, safe movement patterns to assess movement and stability. Based on your results, you’ll receive guidance on how to improve mobility, correct imbalances, and reduce the risk of injury. Widely used by professional sports teams, the military, and other physically active professions, the FMS is a trusted tool for guiding the development of a solid movement platform upon which fitness and strength training can be safely added.
This course includes a one-hour group session that introduces the purpose, process, and science behind the FMS. Afterward, participants can choose to schedule a free 30-minute individual appointment with the instructor for a full assessment and personalized feedback with corrective exercises if needed.
